This collection contains correspondence 1775-1938, receipted bills 1793-1813; 1862; land papers 1770-1860; shipping invoices 1840-50. The bulk of the material is correspondence of the Buckler family, principally letters to William Buckler (1804-70) from his brother, Dr. Thomas Hepburn Buckler (1812-1901), and two sisters Elizabeth Buckler (1793-1849) and Mattie Augusta Lindsay Buckler (1806-86), while William Buckler was abroad on trips to China.

This manuscript collection is comprised of papers from John McCulloh and his sons James, Andrew, and Samuel. The collection features correspondence that covers several topics, including commerce, bonds, invoices, bills, medical training and travel.

These manuscripts, originally collected at the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland, document the history of the medical profession in Maryland in the form of lecture notes, correspondence, and case records from both individual physicians and prominent medical families. Major medical organizations, especially the Baltimore General Dispensary, are represented by ledgers, minutes, patient and physician daily records.
